“The joy I feel when painting is immense.”

— Trish Saunders

Art With A Purpose

My work is driven by creativity, I love the look of different mark making and mixed mediums, creativity is a bug, you cannot stop it.

I am inspired by strong women artists, who didn’t always know at the time, that they were strong. That has lead me to an interest in the education and support of young women.

Lately, I have turned back to community and how I can strengthen and uplift those around me, partnering with Reefton Who Cares House to help fund their work with the sales of my art.

I paint so I don’t go mad!

Reviews

  • "I have been following Trish Saunders art journey for a number of years. She continues to explore and challenge herself, and this is demonstrated by her changing subject matter. I love her dense foliage works in particular her beech tree representations."

  • "Her work is magical, it takes me into the whenua, it takes me there. As someone with mobility challenges I can't go most of these places but through her art I can feel the water, it takes me on a journey."
